As of right now the meet is still on despite the high heat index. The home team is taking precautions to help everyone participating and in attendance. They have stated that their pool is in a fairly shady area that is surrounded by tree cover to help with the deck temperature. Here is a list of modifications the home team has made:

1)They will have a cooling station set up with box fans and shade for anyone who needs a break at any time during the meet.

2)There will be ice water in large coolers for any swimmer who runs out. There is also a water fountain open for use at any time.

3)Heats will be combined when possible to shorten the duration of the meet as much as possible.

4)Stroke and turn judges will rotate every time the timers switch sides of the pool to decrease their time spent standing out in the sun.

Please remember to wear cool clothing and bring plenty of water to stay hydrated!!
